Consolidated Google accounts causes problems for AdSense publishers

After the AdSense updates last week, some publishers experienced problems logging into their AdSense accounts while their AdWords account logins were working correctly. But as of this afternoon, the bug has been fixed, and all publishers should be able to login.

If you were an affected publisher, you should be able to login at http://www.google.com/adsense using your new Google account login information.

It should be noted that only a small number of publishers are affected, as it is being rolled out to accounts, rather than all accounts being asked at once. So if you use the same info for both AdWords and AdSense but haven’t been asked to consolidate your account, you don’t need to worry.

Also, the new login interface also requires you to have javascript enabled, so if you are still having problems, make sure you have your javascript (and cookies!) turned on, and your password is correct.

And if you are still having login problems, you can always contact Google AdSense Support here or at adsense-support@google.com.

  • Roger on the Javascript Jen – I noticed sometime recently that the red “LOADING” that shows up after you punch in your account info. Also, if you don’t mind a nit-pick, the correct URL for Adsense Login is https://www.google.com/adsense/ … note the https (secure) and the trailing / … what you wrote above will redirect you there anyway though.

  • I was able to check google adsense before from my mobile phone, now it’s no longer possible. I used to write a mobile version so I can use it on mobile.

Don’t know if I’m alone out there but this is still a problem for me, has been all week. I cannot login to Google Adsense.

Google Support is a joke. They are clueless, not at all interested in solving my issue. Keep on getting the same canned responses.

I advise everyone NOT to change their passwords yet.

Google fixed my issue. They sent me several things to try, but this is what worked.

Visit http://www.google.com/accounts (log in using the new Google account you created) and change your AdWords/Gmail password.
