The first time I noticed “Check Error – State Unknown” I thought it was a payment issues affecting only me, as a Canadian publisher in a US-only program. However, beginning in December when October earnings were being processed, many more YPN publishers noticed this error showing up on their payment reporting screen in the YPN control panel. It would appear a few days before the check was received by the publisher.
I have had a few people ask me about this error this month, and worried about what it might mean for their payments being sent. But it is a good thing to the “Check Error – State Unknown”, and you should expect to see your check shortly. I am not sure if this appears in all accounts, but I haven’t seen any mention in the forums of people not seeing it after it showed up for myself and others this month.

I was just accepted into YPN, but live in Canada. I don’t have a US address or a US bank account. Am I out of luck, or is there some other way to sign up?
I wonder if they’ll include ‘cheque’ when they launch YPN worldwide?

I’m looking at my YPN right now and my cheque for October reads “Check Error – State Unknown.” That’s really sad, because they owe me about $1,400. I googled around though, and it seems that “Check Error – State Unknown…

Do you know when YPN is going to launch for all?
The check error is indeed a good thing, I emailed yahoo and they said not to worry about it. 5 days after it started showing up my check arrived.
But there *is* something broken there.
I have my most recent check – it arrived today and shows as being issued on Jan 11. But the YPN Payment Report still says “Jan 03, 2006 Check Error – State Unknown”.
Unless they think that sending it to me is an error
, I’d say soething is whacked there..
