Publishers have the belief that bigger is always better… and it looks like AdSense is feeling the same way at the moment. Google AdSense is now testing a much larger font in AdSense ad units… and when you compare the two same sized ad units side-by-side, one with the new larger font and the other with the smaller usual style, all you’ll be able to say is “wow!”
The first ad unit is the new style, and the one below it is the usual style… notice the difference? (both are full size)

Now, which one would you rather have on your site
This seems to be in limited testing right now, so it may or may not show up on one of your sites. What does everyone think of it? Love it on your site, or hate it? Personally, I love it… and it sure beats the Comic Sans font they were doing limited testing on a while back
Added: I realized what the larger font ad units remind me of… the YPN ads - the font size falls somewhere in the middle of the two. Here is an example of YPN’s ad for comparison…

If I had any chance to choose between those two, I’d pick the one closer to all the other links on my site. In this case, it would probably be the one with the smaller fonts.
The new size looks great except to the people that have hundreds of pages where the contents font was made to the same size as the old ads.
Thank goodness for css in this case huh. Some peoples pages are really going to look strange.
I like the bigger size. Thanks for the heads up.
I don’t like it. It’s more loud and doesn’t help readability.

bigger may be better but i think the new set of ad is too compact. There should at least be some white space between the ads.
Hi,
I like it.
I think it will bring more visitors.

I’m actually surprised it took this long. I’m sure they did preliminary studies years ago.

I’m not sure how to feel about this new ad. On one hand it’s easier to notice. On the other hand, it’s somewhat overpowering. I’d be happier if they removed the underlining on the title and make the URL clickable. In fact, they should avoid displaying the URL alltogether because some people will purposely type the URL in the address bar instead of clicking the ads. Publishers end up losing money that they otherwise deserve to make - in fact google loses revenue also..
It is only limited to premium adsense accounts so far, my alexa 800 site has those as well the big large fonts but my friend site has small ones, I think only some premium sites are getting this new feature. I personally love the big ones, I think they get more clicks and are easier to read and sort of stands out with 14px fonts..
thank you
